Find out how to make money from football index the football stock market in which you can buy shares in players and earn dividends based on their playing performance and positive media coverage.
Get off to an even better start with £10 refer a friend code.
What is Football Index?
Football Index is a tradeable market in the world’s most well-known football players that was founded in 2015.
It’s essentially a gambling platform that offers customers the opportunity to bet on the future successes of individual players.
You can build your own portfolio of players which you can sell at a profit if their price increases. In the meantime, you’ll also earn dividends based on their real-life form and positive media coverage.
How Does Football Index Work?
Football Index works like a real stock exchange, just instead of investing in companies you invest or trade in players.
The price of the players can rise and fall just like share prices.
Just like many real companies which pay out a portion of their profits in the form of dividends, Football Index also pays dividends from players.
There are two main ways to make money on Football Index, buying and selling players for a profit and dividends.
Make Money Buying and Selling Players (Capital Appreciation)
The prices of the players are determined by the buying and selling actions of the traders. When demand is high and more people are wanting to buy the shares of a player the price will rise.
The better a player starts playing the higher the price will rise. This is known as capital appreciation. You may hear this term mentioned in some of the training videos.
The more traders wanting to buy a player, the higher it’s price will go. This will usually go in line with how much dividend income the players are expected to generate.
Obviously it works the other way too and if the players form dips the price may fall.
Buying Players
You can buy as many shares in a player or as many players as you want, subject to 300 shares in any one transaction at a time. Your shares in players can be held for up to 3 years.
You don’t have to worry about picking a team, you can choose players from any playing position as many times as you want.
Only players in the Top 200 qualify for Media dividends, whereas Squad players outside the top 200 do not.
All players qualify for In-play and Matchday dividends.
In total, you can choose from over 2000 players.
As you can see in the image below, the buy price is on the right in blue and the sell price is on the left in pink.
Selling Your Players Shares
When it comes to selling the shares, you are limited to selling 100 at a time.
There are two ways to sell shares in players.
Firstly, you can sell via the “join sell queue” option, which is basically putting your player’s shares up for sale and waiting for another trader to purchase your shares.
Secondly is the “Instant Sell” option, this is at a price set by Football Index and if you use it will cash in your bet instantly.
Profit From Dividends
You can earn dividends daily from all the shares in players you own.
- Inplay Dividends
- Match Day Dividends
- Media Dividends
To qualify for any dividends the shares in the player have to be purchased before 2 pm that day.
Inplay Dividends
For the first 30 days of owning shares in a player, you are entitled to Inplay dividends paid based on the footballer’s on-pitch performances and are paid to the players finishing top of the Match Day Rankings.
Inplay Dividends are paid out for:

Match Day Dividends
Match Day Dividends are paid to the top-performing players on the day. All players are ranked and payouts are based on the number of games players. The more games played the higher potential payout if your players are amongst the best.
Players are awarded or deducted points based on all kinds of elements of play on the pitch, for example:
- Accurate Cross
- Corner Won
- Interception
- Clearance
- Goal
- Clean Sheet (Goalkeeper)
Get points deducted for actions including:

The daily Match Day dividends are then awarded to the top player from each of the following categories:
- Top Defender
- Top Midfielder
- Top Forward
- Star Player
Match Days dividends also vary depending on the prestige level and the total number of matches played that day.
Media Dividends
Football Index monitors 25 news outlets for positive mentions of football players who are in their Top 200 players.
The more mentions a player gets the more points they get. The top three players win dividends, on Non-Match Days and the top-scoring player wins a dividend on Match Days.

One of Many Offers to Profit From
If you are into Matched Betting and already making profits from bookies you can also find full instructions for completing the Football Index sign up offer and accompanying forum thread with posts by members sharing their tips and experiences within Profit Accumulator (review)
I made over £30,000+ tax-free profits over the course of my first 3 years from this on my best side hustles.
If you are totally new to this concept of profiting from bookmakers and casino offer, check out the Profit Accumulator free trial which will help you earn your first £35-£40+ profit .
Who To Invest In?
Generally, you’d invest in players you think are most likely to earn you dividends, then weigh up whether the price for the player makes them good value for the expected dividend income?
Find value in the above and when they start to perform, their prices may increase.
Other strategies I’ve seen are to choose young players who are constantly and likely to continue to improve.
Let the trend be your friend, have a look at well-known players, see if the general trend of the price graph is upwards
Ask others for advice.
Ultimately they are all punts. No one knows for sure and a players form can dip or injuries can occur.
Note: This post is primarily about approaching this site for profit and not to get into trading, which is essentially gambling and something I recommend avoiding.
My offer strategy
Personally, for the sake of having a go at the welcome offer, I just split my £500 5 ways.
I chose 5 players and invested as close to £100 in each. Each of the players was fit and expected to play in the next upcoming game.
I didn’t give too much thought to it, as in a 6 day period, anything could happen.
My portfolio looked like this:
Who owns Football Index?
Football Index is owned by Index Lab, which was formerly known as Fame Ventures.
Is Football Index Gambling?
Football Index is a UK-licensed and regulated gambling platform.
Like any sports gambling, some people may think they have an edge and be able to profit from their football knowledge.
Gambling in any form is a bad habit that can sap your wealth. If you do get worthwhile extra enjoyment from it make sure you gamble responsibly.
If you do choose to gamble, make the most of the signup offer and refer a friend bonus.
Please gamble responsibly, for more information please visit https://www.begambleaware.org/
However, if you use the offers correctly they represent a risk-free way to make some money from the platform. Just as we do with many bookies via Matched Betting, which is a way of exploiting free bets and other offers for profit.
How Many Traders On Football Index?
There are thousands of traders on the platform and many are highly active of the Football Index community forum which has over 220,000+ posts.
The forum is a great starting point for new traders to find answers to any questions you may have as well as picking up and exchanging tips and strategies.
Conclusion
There is certainly potential to profit from signing up to Football Index and taking advantage of the sign-up offers.
Have you given it a go?
